Watching: Crash | Danny the Dog | Kingdom of Heaven
I've got a lot of people interested in hiring me for portrait work lately. I'm all about getting paid to do something I love, but I've got no studio space or pro lighting equipment. So I don't really know how to get this going just yet. I'm looking at buying a basic lighting kit that's portable. Beyond that, I'm wondering if making house calls would work out-- making the portraits in the people's own homes.
If anyone has some experience and could give any pointers on how to get started, drop me a note.. I'd really appreciate it.

I know nothing of lighting, never use it, but I would say try the house call thing, I have known friends to do such things and it is really fun, not only makes the customer feel comfortable, but gives more room to move around and gather more interesting stills. Good luck.
